LEAKING
Ryobi · Ryobi RY142300 2300 PSI Brushless Electric Pressure Washer
Water is leaking from one or more connection points on the pressure washer. Identify the leak location: At the garden hose inlet — check that the hose connector is tight and the O-ring seal is present and not cracked or flattened. Replace the O-ring if damaged ($1-2 at any hardware store). At the high-pressure hose connection — tighten the threaded fitting hand-tight plus a quarter turn. Check the O-ring inside the fitting. At the spray gun connection — same O-ring check and tightening. From the pump housing — pump seal failure causes water to weep from the bottom of the pump. A small amount of water from the thermal relief valve is normal during pump overheating (see THERMAL RELIEF code). Significant water flow from the pump housing indicates internal seal failure — the pump needs service or replacement. Tighten all connections, replace worn O-rings, and test. Never use thread seal tape (Teflon tape) on pressure washer connections — they use O-ring seals, not tapered threads.
