DETERGENT FAIL
Ryobi · Ryobi RY142300 2300 PSI Brushless Electric Pressure Washer
The pressure washer does not siphon detergent from the onboard detergent tank or external siphon tube. Detergent siphon only works with the low-pressure nozzle (typically the black soap nozzle). Using a high-pressure nozzle creates a high-velocity water stream that does not generate the venturi suction needed to draw detergent. Switch to the black (soap) nozzle. Verify the detergent tank has detergent in it and the siphon tube is submerged. Check that the siphon tube is not kinked or clogged. The detergent injection valve may have a check ball that is stuck — tap the valve gently or flush it with clean water. If using an external siphon hose, ensure the hose is connected to the correct port (not the high-pressure outlet). Only use pressure washer-specific detergent — household cleaners can damage the pump seals.
