1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HomeMD ("the Service"), operated by SpinLogistics, LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
HomeMD provides error code lookup, step-by-step repair guides, and AI-powered diagnostic assistance for home equipment including appliances, HVAC systems, generators, lawn equipment, pool & spa gear, and electronics. The Service is available in free and paid (HomeMD Pro) tiers.
3. Disclaimer — Not Professional Advice
Repair guides and AI responses on HomeMD are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional repair services. Always prioritize safety. Disconnect power, gas, or water before working on any equipment. HomeMD and SpinLogistics, LLC are not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from following any repair guide or AI advice on this site.
4. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes all your data.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. HomeMD Pro Subscription
- HomeMD Pro is a monthly subscription at $4.99/month, billed through Stripe.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until canceled.
- You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@homemd.app.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
6. User-Submitted Content
You may submit fix suggestions for community review. By submitting content, you grant HomeMD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your submitted fixes. You represent that your submissions are original and do not infringe on any third-party rights.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or dangerous repair instructions
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Use automated tools to scrape content from the Service
- Abuse the Homey AI chat system or circumvent usage limits
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
8. Intellectual Property
The HomeMD name, branding, design, and curated repair database are owned by SpinLogistics, LLC. Community-submitted fixes remain the intellectual property of their respective authors, with a license granted as described in Section 6.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeMD and SpinLogistics, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any repair guide or AI advice.
10. Third-Party Links
HomeMD may contain links to third-party services such as Thumbtack and Angi for professional repair services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these external sites.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
