The Nest learning algorithm is not adapting to the user's routine or is setting temperatures at inconvenient times. Learning requires 1-2 weeks of consistent user behavior data. Multiple users adjusting the thermostat creates conflicting signals. Manual schedule changes override learning. Manually delete unwanted schedule entries in Settings > Schedule. Reset the schedule entirely via Settings > Reset > Schedule > Reset. Ensure Home/Away Assist is enabled with phone locations for all household members. Note: The Nest Thermostat (2020) does NOT have Auto-Schedule — it uses Savings Finder suggestions instead.
