Thermostat cannot detect the heating wire (W1 or W2). The heating system will not activate. The wire may be disconnected, broken, or improperly seated at the thermostat base plate or furnace terminal block. Remove the thermostat from the base and check that the W1 wire is securely inserted into the correct terminal. At the furnace end, verify the W wire is connected to the W terminal on the control board.
