Thermostat screen is on but frozen — touch or ring input does not respond. The display is stuck showing one screen. The thermostat software has locked up due to a firmware bug or memory overflow. Restart by pressing and holding the ring for 10 seconds until the screen goes dark, then release — it should reboot within 30 seconds. If the ring press doesn't work, pull the thermostat off the base, wait 30 seconds, and reattach. If it freezes repeatedly, perform a factory reset via Settings > Reset > Factory Reset.
