HIGH SALT
Pentair · Pentair IntelliChlor IC40 Salt Chlorine Generator
The salt concentration is above the maximum recommended level (approximately 4500 ppm). Excessively high salt can accelerate corrosion of metal pool fixtures (ladders, handrails, light niches, heater heat exchangers) and may damage the salt cell plates. The IntelliChlor may reduce output. To lower salt, partially drain the pool and refill with fresh water — there is no chemical additive to remove salt. Each 10 percent water replacement reduces salt by approximately 10 percent. Do not add more salt until levels drop to 3200-3400 ppm.
