The Nest Temperature Sensor's CR2 battery needs replacement. Typical battery life is about 2 years under normal use. Replace with a quality CR2 3V lithium battery (Energizer, Panasonic, or Duracell recommended). Twist the sensor housing to separate the two halves, replace the battery, and reassemble. Cheap off-brand CR2 batteries may provide significantly shorter life.
