No Heat
Admiral · AED4475TQ1 7.0 cu ft Electric Dryer with Moisture Sensor and Wrinkle Guard
The dryer drum rotates normally but produces no heat, so clothes remain wet after a full cycle. The #1 cause is a blown thermal fuse — a one-time, non-resettable safety device on the blower housing or heating element housing that blows from overheating. This is almost always caused by a restricted dryer vent/exhaust duct. Test the thermal fuse for continuity — it should read 0 ohms; infinite ohms means it is blown. IMPORTANT: always clean the entire vent duct (from dryer to exterior vent flap) when replacing the thermal fuse, or it will blow again. If the thermal fuse is OK, test the heating element for continuity (should read 8-15 ohms). Also check the high-limit thermostat and cycling thermostat.
