NO HEAT
Rheem · Rheem R96V 96% AFUE Two-Stage Variable Speed Upflow Gas Furnace
The furnace is not heating despite the thermostat calling for heat. Systematic check: (1) Verify the thermostat is set to HEAT, the temperature is set above room temperature, and the thermostat has fresh batteries (if battery-powered). (2) Check the furnace power switch — it resembles a standard light switch and is often on or near the furnace; it may be accidentally turned off. (3) Check the circuit breaker. (4) Check the gas shutoff valve — the handle should be parallel to the pipe (perpendicular = OFF). (5) Open the furnace lower access panel and check the IFC board LED for a diagnostic flash code. (6) Check the 3-amp fuse on the IFC board. Correcting the flash code will usually resolve the no-heat condition.
