IMPELLER CLOG
Pentair · Pentair WhisperFlo Single Speed Pool Pump
Debris such as leaves, acorns, small rocks, or pine needles have passed through the strainer basket and become lodged in or around the impeller. Symptoms include noticeably reduced flow, higher pump noise, and possibly the motor straining or tripping the breaker from increased load. Turn off the pump. Remove the strainer basket and look into the impeller eye for visible debris. Some clogs may require removing the pump volute from the motor to access the impeller directly. Check the strainer basket for cracks that are allowing debris to pass through.
