EVAP COIL DIRTY
Pentair · Pentair UltraTemp Heat Pump Pool Heater
The outdoor evaporator coil is clogged with leaves, cottonwood seeds, dirt, pollen, or other airborne debris. This restricts airflow and reduces heat transfer efficiency, potentially causing high pressure (E04/HP) or low pressure (E05/LP) faults. Clean the coil with a garden hose — spray from the inside out to push debris off the coil surface. Do not use a pressure washer as it can damage the aluminum fins. Trim vegetation to maintain at least 24 inches of clearance around the heat pump.
