BAND CLAMP FAIL
Pentair · Pentair Clean & Clear Plus Cartridge Pool Filter
The stainless steel belly band clamp that secures the lid to the filter tank body has cracked, bent, or the tightening bolt has stripped. The clamp cannot maintain adequate pressure to seal the lid O-ring, resulting in water leakage under pressure. Replace the band clamp (approximately $30-50). Inspect the new clamp for proper fit. Do not over-tighten — snug plus a quarter turn is typically sufficient. Some aftermarket clamps may not fit as precisely as OEM Pentair clamps.
