During initial setup, the Google Home app shows 'Couldn't connect to your thermostat' or 'Thermostat not found.' Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone (required for 2020 and 4th Gen models). Update the Google Home or Nest app to the latest version. The phone must be on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network the thermostat will connect to. If the thermostat was previously owned, the prior owner must remove it from their account first, or perform a factory reset on the thermostat.
