Mitsubishi · MUZ-GL09NA 9,000 BTU Single-Zone Outdoor Unit
The inverter fin temperature sensor has detected overheating of the inverter power module aluminum heat sink. The heat sink dissipates waste heat from the IGBT/IPM power transistors that drive the compressor. Causes: dirty heat sink fins (dust, debris), outdoor fan not operating (fan cools the heat sink), extremely high ambient air temperature, power module degradation. Clean the heat sink fins with compressed air. Verify outdoor fan operation.
