SCAN-ERROR
Canon · Canon imageCLASS MF453dw 40 ppm Wireless Duplex Mono Laser All-in-One Printer
The scanning unit has encountered an error preventing scanning and copying functions. The scanner motor may have failed, the scanner carriage may be stuck, or a communication error occurred between the scanner and the main board. Open the ADF cover and the scanner lid and check for any obstructions. If the scanner was recently used with a thick book or non-flat original, pieces of paper or a sticky note may have fallen into the scanner mechanism. Power cycle the printer. If the scanner light does not move at all during startup, the scanner motor or belt has likely failed. For consistently poor scan quality (lines, spots), clean the scanner glass and the white calibration strip (located on the underside of the scanner lid or ADF cover) with a soft, damp cloth.
