COVER-OPEN
Canon · Canon imageCLASS MF453dw 40 ppm Wireless Duplex Mono Laser All-in-One Printer
The printer has detected that one or more covers are not properly closed. Printing, copying, and scanning will not function until all covers are securely closed. Check: the front cover (toner access), the rear cover (paper path/fuser access), the ADF cover (on MF/MFP models), and the scanning unit lid. On some models, a micro-switch detects cover position — if a cover appears closed but the error persists, check that nothing is preventing the cover from fully latching. A piece of paper, a protruding toner cartridge not fully seated, or a broken latch can prevent the switch from engaging. Press each cover firmly until you hear or feel it click into the locked position.
