MECH-CHUTE-CLOG
Briggs & Stratton · Briggs & Stratton 1222EE Single-Stage Snow Blower with SnowShredder Auger
Snow is packing tightly in the discharge chute and blocking the snow output. Wet, heavy snow is most prone to clogging. Never use your hands to clear a clogged chute — use the clean-out tool provided with the snow blower or a broom handle. Apply a non-stick spray (cooking spray or silicone-based product) to the inside of the chute and the auger housing before each use to reduce snow adhesion. Slow your forward speed to avoid overloading the auger with more snow than it can process. If clogging is frequent, the impeller-to-housing gap may be too large — an impeller kit can reduce this gap and improve performance.
