2-FLASH
Bradford White · RG240T6N eF Series
The ICON System LED blinks twice, indicating the thermopile is generating insufficient millivoltage (below ~400mV) to hold the gas valve open. The pilot may extinguish or the main burner will not fire. The thermopile is a sensor in the pilot flame that generates electrical power to operate the gas valve — no external electricity is needed. Clean the thermopile with fine sandpaper or emery cloth, making sure the pilot flame is fully engulfing the tip. Check the thermopile wiring connections at the gas valve. If voltage remains below 400mV with the pilot lit, replace the thermopile. Also check that the pilot flame is strong and blue — a weak yellow flame indicates a clogged pilot orifice or air supply issue.
