GAME MODE PRO
Samsung TV & Audio · HW-Q990C 11.1.4 Channel 546 Watt Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Wireless Subwoofer
Game Mode Pro on the Q990C is designed to reduce audio latency for gaming. If not activating: (1) enable Game Mode on the TV: Settings → General → External Device Manager → Game Mode → On, (2) SmartThings must be configured — Game Mode Pro uses SmartThings to communicate between TV and soundbar, (3) game console connected to TV (NOT soundbar HDMI IN) with soundbar on ARC/eARC, (4) some games disable Atmos in Game Mode — this is expected to reduce latency. If audio latency is still noticeable in games, switch audio format to PCM (lowest latency) and keep HDMI-connected. Bluetooth adds 100-300ms latency — never use BT for gaming.
