MECH-WONT-CLIMB
Polaris · Polaris 9550 Sport Robotic Pool Cleaner
The robotic cleaner cleans the pool floor but will not climb the walls or waterline: (1) Worn track treads — the treads need adequate grip to climb vertical surfaces. If they are worn smooth or hardened by chemicals, the cleaner cannot climb. Replace the tracks. (2) Full filter canister — a heavy filter canister makes it harder for the cleaner to climb. Empty the filter before each use. (3) Water level — if the pool water is very low, the cleaner may not reach the walls properly. (4) Floating cable drag — if the cable is tangled or waterlogged, it can pull the cleaner off the wall. Ensure the cable floats properly and is not waterlogged. (5) Brush condition — worn brushes don't create enough suction/traction for wall climbing. Replace brushes. (6) Some Polaris models are floor-only cleaners and do not climb walls by design — check your model specifications.
