pH LOW
Pentair · Pentair IntelliChem Chemical Controller
The pool water pH is reading below the target setpoint (typically below 7.2). Low pH indicates acidic water that can corrode metal fixtures, damage plaster/tile, and irritate skin and eyes. If using an acid feed system, the IntelliChem will stop acid dosing. Check the pH probe calibration. Manually add sodium carbonate (soda ash) to raise pH if it drops significantly. If pH is chronically low, check for acid over-feed or a malfunctioning acid pump.
