Nest · Nest Thermostat (2020)
The thermostat screen flickers, shows ghost images, or displays visual artifacts. Usually caused by low or unstable battery voltage affecting the display driver. Check battery voltage in Settings > Technical Info > Power — if below 3.7V, resolve the power issue first by installing a C-wire or Nest Power Connector. If the display issue persists with stable power above 3.8V, the thermostat display hardware has likely failed and the unit needs replacement — the display is not user-serviceable.
