Mitsubishi · PUZ-A18NKA 18,000 BTU P-Series Ducted Heat Pump Outdoor Unit
The inverter power module (IGBT or IPM) heat sink temperature has exceeded safe limits. The power module converts DC power to variable-frequency AC to drive the compressor motor. Causes: insufficient airflow over the inverter heat sink fins (blocked by debris), extremely high ambient temperature, power module degradation, outdoor fan not running (the fan also cools the inverter heat sink). Clean the outdoor unit interior and heat sink fins. Verify outdoor fan operation.
