Electrolux · ELFE7637AT 7.4 cu ft Electric Dryer with Steam Refresh and Wrinkle Care
The inlet temperature thermistor (NTC sensor) that monitors the air temperature entering the drum has an open or shorted circuit. The dryer cannot accurately monitor incoming air temperature. Disconnect power and locate the inlet thermistor — it is typically mounted in the air duct near the heating element. Measure thermistor resistance — at room temperature (75°F) it should read approximately 10K-12K ohms. An infinite reading indicates an open circuit; a near-zero reading indicates a short. Check the wiring for damage. Replace the thermistor if out of range.
