CO-SHUTDOWN
Briggs & Stratton · P2200 PowerSmart Series 2200 Watt 111cc Inverter Generator
On models equipped with CO Guard technology, the generator has detected elevated carbon monoxide levels near the unit and shut down automatically to prevent CO poisoning. This is a critical safety feature — do NOT attempt to override it. Generators produce lethal levels of CO gas and must NEVER be operated indoors, in garages, in carports, on covered porches, or near open windows and doors. Move the generator to an outdoor location at least 20 feet from any building opening. Allow the CO sensor to clear before restarting. The CO Guard sensor LED will indicate when it is safe to restart. If the sensor triggers outdoors, check for wind patterns that may be directing exhaust toward the sensor.
