MECH-NO-START
Ariens · IKON XD 52 Zero-Turn
The zero-turn mower engine will not start or only clicks when the key is turned. Check the battery voltage — should be 12.6V or higher when fully charged. Clean corroded battery terminals. Verify the seat safety switch is engaged (you must be sitting on the seat). Check the brake/parking brake is engaged — the mower won't start unless the brake is set. Test the starter solenoid by listening for a click when turning the key. Check the ignition fuse. If the engine cranks but won't fire, check the spark plugs, fuel flow, and ignition coils.
